PTI Botanical Silhouettes- Series I

I am having a stamping affair with my PTI Botanical Silhouettes set! So many possibilities!
Many thanks to Laurie Willison at Soapbox Creations for much of my CASE'd inspiration!

Quatrefoil LOVE!

I am LOVING my new Quatrefoil die! I've already made a plethora of birthday cards (here is a simple one!) and have the creative inspiration of the PTI Design Team to thank! So lovely! The Smokey Shadow card stock is great in combination with almost any color, so I'll have to restock asap!

PTI November Blog Hop

Yes..... time for the PTI November Blog Hop! I think that I ate too much turkey, went shopping WAY too early this morning, and caused the sleep-deprived, creative portion of my brain to malfunction. So, here is a vintage creation from the card cache- which maybe still kinda works! All of you "on the ball" people came up with some beautiful ideas using the inspiration photo!
I wish that my holiday stairway looked this lovely!

Here are a few others that might have fit the bill!:

Tags - Take 3!

These holiday tags are for sharing all of those homemade goodies!

CAS-ual Fridays CFC #28- Take 2!

Here are a few more from my
holiday tag collection!
I think that I'll add this to the
CAS-ual Friday challenge too!

CAS-ual Fridays CFC #28

Here is  my first entry for Cas-ual Friday's challenge: Tag You're It!
I've been working like a crazy woman making lots of tags, but these are leftovers from last year. I'll be breaking' out the new ones soon!

I've never met a Betsy Veldman card that did not make me swoon!

Mitten Frenzy #2

Oops...  just one more "mitten" card, in a completely different color scheme! I think that this might qualify for the CAS-ual Friday Challenge #37 as there's a tiny element that is "over the edge"

A Mitten Frenzy!

So you see, this is how it usually goes....... first card, alter, second card, change up stamps a bit, third card, get out the stickles, fourth card, let's try inking up that embossing folder, etc. Well, you get the idea! I have some new stamps from Wplus9, a bargain Martha Stewart set (from Marshall's!), a few well loved PTI snowflakes and a winter Sizzix embossing folder that all needed to be put to use (although, perhaps, not all at the same time!). Hmmm.... how did this all begin? Oh yeah, I wanted to participate in the Make It Monday #39: Multi Stamp Background Building!

PTI October Blog Hop

Yes, it is that time of the month again.... time for the PTI October Blog Hop!
Creating from a photo inspiration is always a challenge for me, but I love the beautiful fabrics and the cute, soft little pumpkins. Can you believe that I do not have one pumpkin image in my entire stampin' arsenal? So, just using my textures, papers and other stamps to finesse a bit of Fall flavor.

I'm off to sew my oldest son's adult-sized kangaroo costume...... wish me luck! Happy Halloween!

PTI Make It Monday #37: Layered Mats and Frames

I love to create for the PTI Make It Monday challenges! Here's a birthday card with a lovely turquoise, aqua and yellow combo. All of the dies, stamps and ribbon are PTI, in addition to some miscellaneous patterned paper from my stash. It's a bit difficult to see the layering in this photo..... but it's there!
Enjoy your Sunday afternoon...... it's a beautiful Fall day here in upstate NY!

CAS-ual Fridays CFC#22- Feeling Loopy

Ever the procrastinator........ here is my contribution to CAS-ual Fridays Feeling Loopy challenge!
The little flowers are made from a 7/8 inch wide grosgrain ribbon using the method that I've seen demonstrated on many crafty blogs.....sometimes called a "fringed flower" and usually made with felt, (which is most certainly a bit more sturdy and doesn't fray like ribbon does/might).
Thanks for taking a peek!

Poor Conehead Kitty!

Here's what we've been up to...... a new computer (yay!) and following this guy around so he doesn't crash into too much, can get his giant cone into his water and food, and general clean up duty.  More card photos coming soon!

Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop!

This month's inspirational photo for the PTI September Blog Hop is much more graphic.... with SO many beautiful interpretations! This is a bit of a departure from my usual style and quite a challenge!.My desk is covered with tiny strips of brightly colored paper, tags and version 1,2,3, etc. (which to anyone but me would appear to be it's normal state)!

Thanks so much for looking!

Fall Series- Moxie Fab Vertical Sketch Layout and CAS-ual Friday,CFC #19

I usually work in a series once I've found some papers, stamps and layouts that inspire (not to mention the fact that my workspace is a complete mess so I may as well keep goin'......). So, here is one card for the Moxie Fab Vertical Sketch Layout  and one for the CAS-ual Friday CFC #19!

Make It Monday#31: Creating Backgrounds with Non-background Stamps

I really loved Dawn's example and used her inspirational card as a jumping off point. Although a bit difficult to see, I used the solid oval tulip image from PTI's Wishing You set (it was feeling a bit unloved!) as my background stamp and then embellished from there!

Horizontal Sketch Challenge at Moxie Fab World

Well..... it's been a veerryy long time since my last post! So long, in fact, that I've pretty much forgotten how to do things! Not so good! Anyway, thought that I'd try my hand at the Horizontal Sketch Challenge at Moxie Fab World. Thanks for looking!

Papertrey Ink- June 2011 Blog Hop!

Once again, it is time for the Papertrey Blog Hop and there are some incredibly beautiful creations to inspire (which might necessitate some additional time in the craft cave!)!
And yes....... still using all of my tissue flowers (and still working on my novice photo skills!).

The inspiration photo was pure loveliness.

I had left over bits so made one more card for this challenge:

OMGoodness....... I don't think anyone wants to know how many photos I've taken of these TWO cards, how many Photoshop edits I've made OR how many times I've called out "Honey......can you help me?".
Trial and error, right?

Make It Monday #18: Adding Texture with Tissue Paper

Ok.... so now that I've sort of/barely gotten the hang of this blogging thing I thought that I'd attempt another Make It Monday!
I love the idea of the faux silk look and a lovely tissue paper flower. However, having it all come together was not as easy as it sometimes is - guess that it just was not a mojo kinda day! Anyway, I wanted to do something different with the tissue paper background..... I covered my kraft piece with glue, attached PTI  rustic jute twine in a diamond pattern, covered the whole thing with my fancy tissue paper (a HUGE pack from my neighbor- left over from her wedding invitations 20+ years ago!), and added a little more of the fancy tissue paper for the flower and a little snippet of ribbon/lace. Et voila!

Whadya mean? Only ONE??

Papertrey's May Blog Hop was all about flowers! Little did I know that only one submission is allowed! ONE..... really?? Gosh, I could've entered hundreds (maybe a slight exaggeration!) as I very rarely make anything without some sort of flower/floral accent.

Make It Monday#16: Sympathy cards

Fortunately, I have not had the need for a sympathy card, but do have a few in my card cache.... just in case.

Papertrey May Blog Hop Challenge!

Well..... I've been following the Paptertrey Blog Hop for many, many months now and have never joined in....... that is, 'til now!

I love anything floral! These mini cards are a tribute to the colorful style of Betsy Veldman and Papertrey.

A Muse Studio, Poppies and More!

I was really on a roll yesterday and decided that I would just keep goin'......
The husband and kiddies are not too thrilled with the mess that I've created in the dining room, where the light is so much better than in my basement crafting cave!

This last card is so totally inspired by Laurie at SoapboxCreations:
I so LOVE everything she does......
